Nine Moons
03:43
|
|
||
red colored sky
she was so at ease
her head tipped back
and her heart it filled with wonder
breathing in new images
breathing out all that grasped and clenched her through the forest
and from her throat shined like some blue diamond,
it rippled and reflected and followed the sun down the horizon
when the last remnants of light purpled the earth
she took a glace through the trees
and they pointed her in some far off destination
but before she could leave
her feet froze to the ground and she asked herself:
'who am I here?'
well the wind pushed her one step closer
her feet took off and a feeling took over
like she was leaving something behind.
she looked back and saw a mirrored girl
who was fading fast
and carrying a box of all her mysteries.
And she said
'reach now, bring it forward towards the light'
and
'go now, go anywhere you like'

Strangers Like Us
03:32
|
|
||
the truth you found all tangled in they ivy,
while you walk around singing our technicoulored blues.
polish the mirror of all your silver linings,
let it reflect back all the love that we have found.
well, there are strangers like us.
for those who sonder with hearts set on the future,
arise for your time is now.
the great divide stems from the great illusion,
unite and tear down these city walls
well, there are strangers like us.
there are strangers like us.
And there goes my love,
I have heard your call my love,
and may you watch us as we grow.
The path between the lines it reads,
not fated for all time to be,
release yourself and then you'll see:
there are strangers like us,
and may you watch us as we grow.

Wake Child
04:15
|
|
||
last night
you walked through my memory,
you presence still haunting me,
as you carried through the years.
the thought
was just like the photograph,
sent to remind me,
as you spoke without a sound.
'Wake child'
walk on from what happened to you,
ill bet, regret
is bound to tear you in two
fallen
pierced through the wing and
as the cruel fate of the cactus wren longing to fly.
'Wake child'
walk on from what happened to you
don't let regret
come in and tear you in two
and now its
time to lay our burdens in the tides
'her comes the morning light'
this ones for all the words you left unspoken
as the shoe box of love was fated to be open
we would all float steady as she walked on by.
wake child, her comes the morning light.

Fallen Pieces
04:31
|
|
||
when I set out
on a journey of my own creation
I wished to stand beyond
the walls I created inside myself
and now I've got to get back to myself
and all at once
you watch them crumble before your eyes.
disregard their broken dreams,
they will sell most anything.
so take a step back,
this is your relationship.
go tell it on the boulevard,
when you have met the queen of hearts
singing 'what you have loved
is yours for keeps.'
Oh, Chelsea Waves
what rang though your heart
and your mind when you decided on change?
and just how quickly we've figured out what we are:
we're fallen pieces from the stars.
you got them traveling shoes,
singing them poor boy blues
with not much more than a shirt on your back.
but I learned the difference
between the have and the have-nots is what?
who has got their love,
and who is lost in the wake of it all.
disregard their broken dreams,
they will sell most anything.
so take a step back,
this is your relationship.
go tell it on the boulevard,
when you have met the queen of hearts
singing what you have loved
is yours for keeps.
Oh, Chelsea Waves
what rang though your heart
and your mind when you decided on change.
just how quickly we've figured out what we are:
we're fallen pieces from the stars
when I met you,
I learned a new side of myself
maybe it was a reflection from your eyes
shining back through my own.
and all at once,
it became quite clear to me
that these pieces we call ourselves
may they shine for what we are,
fallen pieces from the stars,
may we shine for what we are.

Love Made Voice
02:47
|
|
||
we haven't made our minds up yet,
the truth like a light through the night on your doorstep.
our bodies where made for love,
woven by the hands of the ancient ones.
what's a mind to do all filled with fear,
driving down the interstate, intersections of the years
I'll remind myself while I'm standing here
'with a heart full of life I let it's direction call me'
to feel sorrow for all that is beyond control
but its the mothers song that will turn the world.
let if fill you now straight to the core
let your voice ring out
let this connection call you home.
